Jodi DeAugustine
How I got here:
I started in the financial industry right out of high school while working for an international bank that offered tuition assistance for me to attend college and obtain my degree in Economics & Management. I found the world of finance fascinating and having come from very modest means growing up, I quickly realized how financial education and assistance opened the doors for so many people.
Favorite part of the job:
I feel a profound sense of obligation to my community and view what I do, in the realm of development, as a call to service. I am grateful to meet and get to know so many of the missions and the people who exhaustively drive them forward each and every day in the non-profit community. My goal is to assist clients in becoming financially sustainable by creating a financial legacy to support the future of the mission without dependence on governmental funding. My ability to support those missions and the people that they serve is truly the honor of my life.
Education:
B.A.-Economics, State University of New York at Cortland
A.B.A.-Certified Paralegal, University College at Syracuse University
A.A.S.-Business Administration, Onondaga Community College
Beneath the surface:
My greatest joys in life are spending time with my large extended family and my husband, Philip, and our two daughters. I also enjoy running, traveling and serving the many organizations in Central New York. In my tenure of community service, I’ve proudly served the Vera House Agency & Foundation, GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse, National Down Syndrome Association, United Way/Women United, The Dunbar Association, Food Bank of Central New York and the Madden School at LeMoyne College.
